MISSION 6 Starcraft II Campaign Walk Through: THE DEVIL’S PLAYGROUND (PLANET REDSTONE)

Mission Objective:
a. Exploit resources on Redstone
b. You must gather at least 8,000 minerals to complete the mission


Credit rewards: 110,000
Research Opportunities: +3 Zerg Research

Game Overview: You main objective is to gather 8000 minerals. You must therefore train many SCVs as part of your Devil’s Playground mission strategy. Every 5 minutes, lava flow will rise for about 1 minute. In this case, you should get all your units back to the elevated base to avoid destruction every time lava rises. To start the game, you will have 10 SCVs with 350 minerals and 200 Vespene gas.

Starcraft 2 Key Strategies and Guide:

  • Build Terran marines to defend the base.
  • Train reapers to harvest Minerals and Vespene Gas pallets to hasten the completion of the mission.
  • Train just sufficient amount of marines, firebots and reapers. The more minerals you used-up for their training, the longer you will gather 8000 minerals and accomplish the mission.
  • On the northern part of your main base, reinforcement in the form of 4 SCVs and a command center are waiting for you to activate them. Send some units to activate it and expand the base there.
  • Always have a group of at least 5 reapers to scout nearby areas for more minerals. Additional reapers will also reinforce you once you activate them.

MISSION 5 Starcraft II Campaign Walk Through: THE EVACUATION (Planet Agria)

Mission Objective:

a. Research Dr. Hanson’s Settlement
b. Escort the colonists to the colony ship

Credit rewards: 110,000
Research Opportunities: +4 Protoss Research

Game Overview: For the Starcraft 2 campaign walk through, The Evacuation mission starts with only 2 Firebots and 2 Medics. Your main task is to escort at least 50 colonists to their ship. Along the way, your force will encounter stiff resistance and attacks from the enemy on both sides. You must therefore strengthen your force when escorting the colonists as part of the Starcraft 2 The Evacuation Mission strategy. Colonists will go to the colony ship by batch of 10. Thus, you will have to make the escort at least 5 times.

Starcraft 2 Key Strategies and Guide:

  • Train as many marines as you can
  • Take advantage of reinforcement of mercenaries since they can greatly aid your forces
  • Make sure to have at least a medic in your escorting team to heal the wounded units
  • Place marines inside empty bunkers along the way to the colony ship
  • Always have Firebots in your team since they are effective in attacking crawling Zergs
  • Don’t go without Terran Marines because they are the only unit that can attack flying Zergs
  • To hasten the training of your units, search and get the minerals and Vespene gas pellets along the way
  • Don’t bother returning the forces that reached the colony ship back to your base. Position them to guard the entry points of the enemies. Use fresh units to escort the next batch of colonists.
  • Ensure continuous training of attack units so that newly trained units shall escort every batch of colonists.

Mission Overview:

Before the start of this mission, you will have 2 different missions to choose. You can either attack the Planet Monilyth or the Planet Agria. Planet Monilyth is the Smash and Grab Mission, while Planet Agria is The Evacuation Mission.

MISSION 4A: SMASH AND GRAB (PLANET MONLYTH)

Mission Objective:

a. Search for the Xel’Naga Artifact
b. Find 4 Protoss Relics


Credit rewards: 110,000
Research Opportunities: +4 Protoss Research

Game Overview:
This mission starts with 3Terran Marines and 5 SCVs with 1 Medic. There are also 4 Marauders.

Starcraft 2 Key Strategies and Guide:

  • Train more marines and organize two teams with at least 6 Terran Marines and Marauders plus a medic in each team.
  • Use one team to defend the base while the other team as the scout and attack force.
  • Destroy the Tal’darim Guardians to disable their turrets.

MISSION 3 Starcraft II Campaign Walk Through: ZERO HOURS Strategies

MISSION 3: ZERO HOURS

Mission Objective:
a. Hold until extraction
b. Defend the base for 20 minutes

Credit rewards: 55,000

Game Overview: This mission starts with 16 Terran Marines and 5 SCVs. Marines are divided into 2 teams of 8 fighters, each team guarding each entry point to the base.

Starcraft 2 Key Strategies and Guide:

  • There are only two main entry points to the base. You need to tightly guard them by filling the bunker with marines. You must also ensure to have at least 2 medics around to keep your troops healthy.
  • Build more SCVs to ensure you have enough resources to train more units, which is vital in defending the base.
  • Have 1 SCV on standby near the bunker to immediately repair it when damaged.
  • Build anti-air turrets in front of the base (by the cliff side). There are some air enemy units among the forces that will attack your base.
  • Form at least 6 marines to scout the area and rescue some captives, which shall join your force once freed. Moreover, gather some vespene and mineral pallets along the sides of the road.
  • To effectively defend the base, train marines and firebots. Assign at least 45 units on each entry point.
  • Build at least 3 bunkers (in triangular position) in each entry point to the base.

MISSION 2: THE OUTLAWS

Mission Objective:
a. Seize the Xel’naga artifact
b. Destroy the Dominion base
c. Rescue some rebels (bonus)

Game Overview: This mission starts with 6 Terran Marines and 8 SCVs. You will have 50 minerals to start with and zero level Vespene Gas.

Starcraft 2 Key Strategies and Guide:

Assign 6 SCVs to gather mineral, 1 SCV to build Vespene Depot and gather vespene gas, and the other SCV to start building more depots to increase your manpower capacity
Build more SCVs and start training more Terran marines

Build add-ons to the barracks to allow you to train medics

Once you have trained at least 10 Terran marines and 2 medics, separate them into 2 teams with 5 marines and a medic in each team. Keep on training more marines though.

Assign one team to guard the base, while the other team to start scouting the surrounding area and search for numerous mineral and vespene gas pallets that are located at the sides of the road to quickly increase your resources.

Immediately respond to help for the release of captive allied forces. These captives will join your forces once they are freed. Use the scout team to rescue them, while maintain the other team in defending your base.

Increase your scout and attack team to at least 12 Terran marines and 2 medics. They are strong enough to scour the area and proceed to end the game by destroying the enemy base that will eventually allow you to seize the artifact and attain victory.

MISSION 1 Starcraft II Campaign Walk Through: LIBERATION DAY

MISSION 1: LIBERATION DAY

Mission Objective:
a. Destroy the Dominion Outpost or the Logistics Headquarter
b. Raynor Must Survive
c. Destroy all 6 Dominion Holo loads

Game Overview: The Liberation Day Mission of Starcraft 2 Campaign starts with 5 Terran marines (in blue battle suits) at your command, along with Raynor (in black armor suit).

Starcraft 2 Key Strategies and Guide:

Highlight all your units and start walking, following the main road.

Watch out for the Dominion holo loads located at the side of the road. You must destroy all 6 of them.

Your first encounter with the enemy is a group of 2 Dominion soldiers. They are definitely outnumbered and that should be easy for you to eliminate them. Once the enemies are eliminated, search for the first holo load nearby and destroy it.

Next, move on following the road. Your next enemy encounter consists of bigger group of soldiers. You are outnumbered in this case. However, reinforcement will arrive. Join your troops with the arriving reinforcement to quickly eliminate the enemies and minimize losses on your troops. Once the enemies are eliminated, search for the 2nd and 3rd holo loads nearby and destroy them. They are located facing each other.

The 4th holo load is unguarded. No sweat.

The 5th Dominion holo load is guarded by around 4 marines along with some captive allied soldiers. Kill all the enemies, which is very easy to do with the quantity advantage on your side. Complete elimination of the enemies shall release the captives, which shall join your force in the ensuing battle and in destroying the Dominion Headquarters. Destroy the 5th and the 6th holo loads and the Logistics HQ.

There you go. Victory is easy for the first mission. Victory is much easier to achieve by following the above Starcraft II campaign walk through and strategies.
